Goya e il mondo moderno. MondoMostre
Milano, Palazzo Reale
March 17 - June 27 2010
Indietro"Goya and the Modern World" is an extraordinary exhibition, which intends to analyze the relationship and artistic connections between Goya and other famous modern painters, starting with an analysis of the themes dear to the Aragonese painter: the image of the new society, the expression of subjectivity, reactions with gestures, and violence. The important influence that Goya has had on contemporary art and culture is confirmed by traditional history, which sees in the painter's work a reference point for the stylistic movements that contributed to the definition of the art of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries: Impressionism, Symbolism, Expressionism, and Surrealism.
