Historia
See Sad forebodings of what is to come.
Like the rest of the drawings in the series, the present drawing was part of the Carderera Collection and subsequently passed to the Prado Museum, where it is now kept.
Análisis artístico
This drawing was used as a preparatory study for the engraving Infamous profit, which in the end was not included in the series, probably due to the poor quality of the plate, and of which there is only one state proof.
The composition in both cases is the same, as is the study of the figures, the movements of the bodies and the appropriate characterisation of the faces.
