Análisis artístico
Ramón Cabrera was State Councillor, Director of the Spanish Royal Academy, Member of the Academy of History, and Honourable Member of the Academy of San Fernando.
He was the author of the Diccionario de Etimología de la Lengua Castellana (Dictionary of Etymology of the Spanish Language), published in Madrid in 1837, the first volume of which contains a lithograph by J. Otón based on Goya's original portrait of Ramón Cabrera.
This is the only surviving image of this lost work by Goya.
