Historia
See Sad forebodings of what is to come.
This drawing, like the set of preparatory drawings for the rest of the engravings in the series, was part of the Carderera collection and subsequently passed to the Prado National Museum, where it is now kept.
Análisis artístico
In this preparatory drawing for print no. 78, He Defends Himself Well, Goya works with precision, faithfully describing the scene that was later to become an engraving. He dwells at length on the drawing of the horse and the wolves and dogs around him.
