Historia
See Sad forebodings of what is to come.
This drawing, like the set of preparatory drawings for the rest of the engravings in the series, was part of the Carderera collection and subsequently passed to the Prado Museum, where it is now kept.
Análisis artístico
This preparatory drawing is extremely dark and it is very difficult to make out anything other than the female image in the foreground. We cannot make out the faces of the figures in this scene in which the resurrection of the woman is announced and which are more clearly outlined in the print.
