Análisis artístico

In the foreground we can see a woman in a black skirt and white bodice who is trying to escape the clutches of a bandit. Behind them, two men are being attacked by various thieves, who are inflicting violent blows upon their victims. The rendering of this painting, as in the case of the rest of the series - and especially in the case of Execution of a Witch - has distinctly sketched quality.
