Análisis artístico

The drawing of the Album of Madrid or Notebook B  Good priest Where was it celebrated? (B. 86) precedes the work we are dealing with here. And there are some changes that have to do with its meaning. In this case, Goya specifies that it is about an esparto worker in whose workshops, as the press of the time reports, fires were frequently set due to his drunkenness.

The painter takes up this work again in Caprice no. 18 And His House is Burning, making very few changes to the print. In both cases we can see the same elements and identical posture of the figure with his legs open and one slightly forward, as well as the somewhat lost expression on his face which alludes to his drunkenness.
